StarBand currently has three satellite
modems available, each with slightly different computer
specifications and performance levels.
With the StarBand Model
360 modem, your computer must meet the following specifications:
- Operating systems: Microsoft®
Windows® 98, 98SE, 2000, Me or XP
- 64 MB RAM; 128 MB RAM for Windows®
XP and Windows® 2000
- Pentium-class processor
- 120 MB of available hard-drive
space for mandatory StarBand software
- CD-ROM drive
- Available Ethernet or USB port
for a direct connection to the StarBand modem
With the StarBand 481 or
StarBand 484 modem, the computer must meet the following
specifications:
- Operating systems supporting
TCP/IP protocol (Call Center support limited to
Windows 98, 98 SE, Me, 2000 Professional, XP and
Macintosh OS 9, OS X)
- CD-ROM drive
- Ethernet port
