or company hosting the Hotspot service) to sell this
service to their customers, making this a win-win-win
solution for all involved.
What is a WiFi
Hotspot?
WiFi Hotspot services are a fast growing business segment.
It is a wireless technology similar to that in cordless
phones. WiFi enabled computers can wirelessly send and
receive Internet data anywhere within range of the access
point (gateway). The AH-1 generally transmits its signal
with a radius of 1,500 feet in all directions from the
gateway. The AH-1 is recommended for up to 10–15
concurrent users.
For owners of campgrounds, marinas,
truck stops, and other locations with frequent short-term
visitors, providing high-speed Internet access via a
WiFi Hotspot is a competitive advantage and increasingly
an expectation of campers, truckers, etc. Many travelers
will only visit locations with WiFi access and are willing
to pay for the service.

Dealers must first be certified to sell the StarBand
484, then successfully complete the NomadISP WiFi
Hotspot installation certification program. |

Dealers perform pre-site survey and pre-installation
worksheet for NomadISP, then purchase the turnkey
package from StarBand. |

| The Dealer orders the AH-1, receives the StarBand
hardware from StarBand and the AH-1 'Anywhere Hotspot'
hardware from NomadISP. |

| The site owner pays StarBand for the monthly Internet
service. |

| Site owners also have the option to put their
Anywhere Hotspot into “Seasonal Disconnect”
status in the off-season. The site owner has the
option to pay only $14.99/mo to keep their e-mail,
and other portal services; or pay nothing while
in “Seasonal Disconnect” and just $75
to reconnect their service. |

| NomadISP pays the site owner 60% or higher commission
on each WiFi service usage at their site. Site owner
has flexibility in what prices to charge the end
user for hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal

A site owner offering this service with usage by as
few as two people per day can earn over $250/mo –
easily recovering the monthly StarBand service fees
based on the generous revenue-share program administered
by NomadISP. Better yet, with as few as five campers
per day paying approximately $7/day for usage, the site
owner could earn over $600/mo. in commissions from NomadISP
- more than four (4) times the cost for the StarBand
monthly service!
How WiFi Hotspots
Work:
The StarBand modem and AH-1 gateway can be conveniently
and safely located indoors at the site owners discretion.
Then the NomadISP antenna is easily mounted in proximity
to the StarBand dish. The tall antenna shown on the
right-hand side of the picture transmits a WiFi signal
across a 1,500 foot radius within which customers with
a WiFi enabled computer could elect to purchase high-speed
Internet connectivity. NomadISP also sells 'signal repeaters'
for site owners wishing to expand the WiFi coverage
area. NomadISP takes care of all billing and customer
service needs of the end-users. The site owner’s
job is to promote the service then sit back and wait
for the commission checks from NomadISP!
