What equipment
is necessary for StarBand service outside of the continental
U.S. (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin
Islands)?
Due to the demands associated with operating the StarBand
service in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S.
Virgin Islands the service may only be purchased through
one of our authorized partners in those locations. There
are a few unique equipment requirements for Alaska,
Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands - namely,
a 1.2 meter dish antenna (instead of the 0.75 meter
dish used in the continental U.S.), a roof/wall mount
with higher wind ratings, a stronger low-noise-block
(LNB) transmitter, and feed arm. Any equipment and installation
pricing and related terms and conditions quoted on StarBand's
Web site do not apply to sales in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto
Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Labor warranties and
maintenance terms are at the discretion of the authorized
StarBand dealer from which you purchase the service.

How much does
StarBand service cost?
There are a variety of StarBand pricing plans to meet
your needs. StarBand pricing may vary by retail channel,
but is generally comprised of:
- A monthly service fee with term
commitment for high-speed Internet access (for as
little as $49.99/mo).
- A one-time equipment fee (includes
outdoor equipment for transmitting and receiving Internet
traffic, StarBand satellite modem, StarBand Quick
Start Installation Kit).
- A professional installation fee.
