Updated March 5, 2007 Attention StarBand customers: As many of you know, a new operating system called Windows VistaTM has been released by Microsoft as an upgrade to existing WindowsTM versions and for use on new computers. For some time, StarBand has been in the process of performing extensive compatibility tests between StarBand services (including StarBand Model 360, 480, 481 and StarBand Nova) and Windows VistaTM. Windows Vista® is supported on the SkyEdge, 484 and 481. We recommend that you download the most recent modem configuration tool for 484 and 481 which is available at http://download.starband.net. There are some situations where StarBand Technical Support will require you to use this program to restore Internet connectivity. Windows VistaTM represents a significant change at a technical level from previous WindowsTM versions, and is incompatible with certain older programs, peripherals and services. Our tests have concluded that the StarBand Model 360 is not compatible with Windows VistaTM. As a result, if you are a StarBand 360 customer and rely on StarBand for your Internet access, do not install Windows VistaTM. For more information, please click here for a FAQ.
